Floating Lazy L Cattle
Chasing Goats Farm
My husband and I got married October 2004. We lived several places while we both attended college, but after getting married, my husband was ready to come home and get out of the city. I told him I'd give it a try, but if we weren't making it after 6 months, we'd have to try somewhere else. I can't say that we were making it 6 months later, but I couldn't convince him to leave! Once I accepted we'd likely never leave Kent County, I was determined to "bloom where I was planted." God has sure blessed our journey and I'm thankful He planted us in Kent County!
We are a busy family of 4. Our son will be entering 8th grade and our daughter 3rd grade. Depending on the season, you will find our son playing football, riding horses, riding roughstock, showing livestock, pole vaulting or running track. Our daughter enjoys basketball, tumbling, running track, riding horses and loving on all our animals. If we aren't sitting in the stands cheering for them, you can find us outside tending to livestock or working on projects.
We've raised cattle since 2005, goats off and on since 2007 and a host of other animals over the years. Our goals and vision have sure changed over the years! We've felt a desire to become more self-sufficient and that has led to new opportunities for us to help others as well. I can't begin to explain God's provisions through the years. We've been through some crazy times when it comes to our livestock. There is no way to explain how things have worked out other than He has walked every step before us and claimed victory for us. I do believe He kept us going for a reason and I hope we are on the right track now to really see what He will do through us!

2021 Summer Reading Program "Tails and Tales"
What a fun day it was kicking the summer reading program off! I love sharing the joy these special animals bring to our lives. Charlie, Gus, Annie, Stormfly and the unnamed chicken brought lots of smiles and excitment to this group of kids!
